I’m Jen. I’m in my 60s, I live in Florida with my husband and two cats, and I work from home doing things on the internet.

That’s actually the most accurate way I know to describe it.

The longer version is that a couple of years ago I started making product review videos for Amazon, just things I was already using around the house, and I found out people actually wanted to watch them. So I kept going. Added a YouTube channel. Then a blog. Then somewhere along the way I started writing about life after 50 and realized those stories needed to be told too, the real ones, not the glossy version you see everywhere else.

Everything here came from my actual life. The products I review are sitting in my kitchen or my bathroom or my living room right now. The stories I tell are mine. The photos are ones I took. I’m not an influencer with a ring light and a brand deal. I’m just a person who figured some things out and thought it was worth sharing.

Knitting has been part of my life longer than any of this. I taught it at local craft stores, ran a knitting YouTube channel for fifteen years, and had a livestream on Twitch where people from all over the world would come knit with me. That community meant everything to me. I still upload knitting videos and run a knitting blog, and it’s still one of my favorite things I do. I’ve been through some things. Breast cancer. Losing three cats in one year, which wrecked me more than I expected. A whole life lived before I ever thought about writing any of it down. I’m still figuring things out, still learning, still occasionally buying gadgets that turn out to be terrible and telling you about those too.
