I won this robot vacuum at a Christmas party raffle and left it in the box for months. That is the honest truth. It sat there and I kept thinking I would set it up eventually and eventually kept not happening. Finally took it out, got it running, and immediately felt like I had wasted months of clean floors.

The setup surprised me most. I expected it to be complicated and it was not. That room by room control is how I actually use it because I do one or two rooms at a time, pause it, empty the dustbin, and send it to the next area. The whole house gets done in under 30 minutes.
The dustbin situation is worth talking about honestly. I empty it between rooms because with two cats on carpet it fills up fast. The video in this post shows me opening the dustbin and it is full of cat hair and dust. That is not staged. That is what comes out of carpeted rooms that look clean to the naked eye. Once you see it you cannot unsee it.
The virtual fence feature in the app is the detail I did not know I needed until I had it. My husband’s desk area has cords everywhere and I do not want the vacuum getting tangled back there and getting stuck. I also do not want it going under certain furniture where it would get hung up and I would have to go find it. The app lets me draw boundaries it will not cross. Problem solved before it was ever a problem.
The pre-vacuum routine took some adjusting. You do need to pick up anything on the floor before you send it. Cat toys, socks, charging cables on the floor, anything it could get tangled in or suck up. I do a quick sweep of each room first and then send the vacuum. Once that became habit the whole process felt seamless.
